Statistics is the science that, using methods of logical and mathematical nature, elaborates, analyzes and interprets numerical or numerable data, in order to describe collective phenomena or in order to apply the description of some phenomena, observed and analyzed, to other phenomena of the same type, not still observed. The laws of statistics are applied to many addresses, creating new fields of surveying, as, for example, the Economic Statistics. Today statistics are an indispensable element in the informative system of every democratic society, in order to improve the life of who lives in such societies. Some characteristics of statistical sciences are the basing themselves on the quantitative analysis of the information and the objectivity, so that everithing is measured and estimated with mathematical rules, often based on the calculation of probabilities. The use of statistical techniques is applied just nearly in all the fields of the economy and science. Also Medical Sciences and Pharmacology profits from this.
