At the beginning the Electronics was the study of electrical conduction in the gas or
in the empty space, while today this term means the science that studies the motion
of the electrons, the laws that rule this motion and the way to produce and to control
it for practical scopes. Some years ago the electronic tubes and all their practical
applications (receivers, industrial television, electric power, x-rays, radars, industrial
processes, military applications, etc) were its main field of survey. Recently, with
the invention of the transistors, of the semiconductor diodes, etc, it was possible
to realize electronic computers or processors, fundamental and indispensable instruments
on which our civilization is based currently.
